Dr. Jason Ormiston

LEAD Pastor

Pastor Jason Ormiston is the Senior Pastor of Family Baptist Church.  An enthusiastic 6’ 6” pastor-teacher, Pastor Jason has a desire to make disciples of all nations through strategically investing in the next generation of servant-leaders. Jason enjoys preaching God’s Word, participating in the Great Commission, and practicing the Great Commandment.  He is passionate about evangelism, discipleship, and multiethnic ministry.

Jason professed faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at age six. The Lord blessed him with a strong Christian home and parents who constantly challenged him to walk with God. At age sixteen, Jason surrendered to a calling from God to pursue full-time vocational ministry.
He has participated in three church plants over the past twenty-five years of ministry.  The first two churches are located in the heart of inner-city Minneapolis, MN: Family Baptist Church & All Nations Baptist Church. The third church, Palmetto Baptist Church, is located in Easley, SC.

In addition to church planting, Jason has served on the Bible faculty of Bob Jones University from 2007 to 2021 and returned to Minnesota in the summer of 2021 to serve as the Senior Pastor of Family Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN.

Jason and his wife Heather have six children: two married daughters,  a daughter and son who graduated from college this year, and two young men at home.

Dr. Lee Ormiston

Pastor EMERITUS

Pastor Lee was the Founding Pastor of Family Baptist Church and now continues to serve as an associate pastor at FBC.  He is also a Chairman of the Baptist Mid-Missions Foundation and has been part of the Elected Counsel of Baptist Mid-Missions for over 20 years.
Pastor Lee received his Bachelor in Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Dakota State University, a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Central Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Sacred Ministries from Northland International University. He is an adjunct professor at Bob Jones University and Central Baptist Seminary.

Pastor Lee was saved at 27 as a result of the faithful witness of his sister-in-law.  At age 40, he left an executive management position to pursue seminary training.  Although Pastor Lee had intended to invest himself in a ministry to corporate executives, God deeply burdened both him and his wife, Pam, for people overwhelmed by the challenges of living in an urban environment.

They relocated to a neighborhood near Family Baptist Church with the goal of providing biblical hope for men and women of all ages struggling with life-dominating sin and shambled lives.

Lee and Pam are the proud parents of six adult children and twenty-five grandchildren living around the globe.
